Obituary of Kathleen Diane Graham

Age 70, of Mt. Morris, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2020, at home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am, Monday, October 12, 2020, at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 310 North Cherry Street in Flushing. Rev. Jonathan Perrotta officiating with burial to follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. Kathy's family will be present to receive friends at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris, on Sunday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. On Sunday evening, family, friends, and parish will gather to pray the Rosary at 7:00 pm. On Monday morning, Kathy will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until the time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Kathy was born in Flint on July 28, 1950, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Dorothy (Andres) Burgess, Sr. Educated locally, Kathy graduated from Flushing High School, with the class of 1968. She married William "Bill" Graham on December 1, 1984, in Flint. Sadly, he preceded her in death on May 2, 2017. Kathy was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished spending time with her grandchildren and having family gatherings where everyone looked forward to her famous chocolate chip cookies. In her free time, Kathleen was a member of the Flint Eagles Aerie #629 and the Flushing Moose Lodge #1437. She enjoyed travelling adventures with her family, going to the casino, and playing bingo.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Scott Sies; daughter, Michelle (Jeff) Miller; two grandchildren: Sam and Sarah (fiancée Kenzie) Sies; three sisters: Patricia Matthews, Linda Crisp, Janine (Tim) White; two stepchildren: Marcus (Melissa) Burden, Will (Esther) Parkhurst; "bestest friend," Emilia Markee.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; two stepchildren: Rebecca Torres, Sean Parkhurst, three brothers: Robert Burgess, Jr., Kenneth Burgess, David Burgess.
