You were one of my first best friends I remember Walking down to your house, 3am, and watching Tenacious D together cause i couldnt Sleep, and i knew You would be awake. I could Count on you for anything. I’m grateful for the many memories i have with you Connor. We grew apart the last few years but it will never change anything. Forever and always, Africa

When I heard the news, my heart sunk. We grew up together, living across the street from one another for almost 12 years. For 12 years, our lives were so intertwined. In the Summertime, you, me and Jacque would hang out every other day. I remember trading Pokémon cards, playing PlayStation, jumping on the trampoline, riding scooters/skateboards/bikes, making you listen to all 12 tracks on my newly (and illegally) burned CDs. I remember when you moved to your grandparents, and I’d see you every morning before school while waiting for the bus, and a few evenings where we just played basketball outside your grandparents place. When we got older, we went our separate ways. But there wasn’t a month that passed where I didn’t reminisce about the memories we made as kids, and wonder how you and your family were doing. There were a few times your mom and I would see you walking in town, and we’d stop just to see what was going on in your life. Those times were great because we’d see how sweet and kind your heart was, and we’d drive away knowing that you are happy, healthy, and well.... still YOU. My heart especially hurts for your amazing family. Your mom, dad, sister, and grandparents, especially. They loved you so much. We saw that. We knew that always. And imagining what they have to go through right now tears me apart inside. But I know you. And I know you would want them to be happy, and know that you are/were in a good place. And one day you’ll reunite with them with open arms, just as you always did before. You (and your family) changed and impacted my life more than you’ll ever get to know. And I’m so sorry I never got the chance to tell you that. I love you man. Rest easy. I can’t wait to see you again.

I went with Connor to get his very first tattoo. The Batman symbol on his forearm. Although he’d probably never admit to it about half way through he turned white as a ghost and was feeling a little queasy. His dad and uncle made sure he was okay before finishing. By the time we got to the car to leave he was already talking about getting more. Sending all my love to the family. ❤️
