Donna was born May 8, 1935, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence M. and Charlotte E. (Lakies) Miller. She would meet, fall in love with and marry the love of her life Raymond (Joe) Groves, on June 13, 1953. Their union would be blessed with five children. Sadly, he would precede her in death on October 10, 2010, after 57 years of marriage. Donna worked for Bell Telephone in downtown Flint and was the first person to turn on the lights for the famed CB Weather Ball; she then went on to work as a drapery seamstress for Davison Fabric in Davison, MI. She loved all things family and was an accomplished seamstress. In her free time, Donna enjoyed crafting, quilting, gardening, and square-dancing.
Donna leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters: Rhonda and husband, Darrell Young, Dana and husband, Thomas M. Taylor, Kristina and husband, Brian Blossom; son, Brian Groves; sister, Carrie and husband, Martin Simek; brother, Allen and wife, Lila Miller; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; dear cousin and best friend, Sonja Lewis; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Donna was preceded in death by husband of 57 years, Joe Groves; daughter, Lesa Groves; and brothers: Bill and Vernon Miller.
