Linda was born in Flint on July 16, 1945, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark and Capitola (Dungey) Ashley. Linda met and married the love of her life, Norman, on January 30, 1965, in Flint. Together, their union would be blessed with three children. Linda worked as a full-time waitress and night shift manager for Herriman's Family Restaurant for many years before retiring in the 1990s in addition to being a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker. In her free time, Linda loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. She also enjoyed going to the Clio Senior Center, Krapohl Senior Center, and Davison Area Senior Center, camping, and fishing. Linda was an avid crafter, sewer, and taught ceramics to many people from her home shop. Throughout her courageous battle with dementia, Linda retained her witty sense of humor, enjoyed making those around her laugh and causing mischief as a source of good-natured humor.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Norman; three children: Shannon Gracz, Scott Gracz, and Matthew (Sherrie) Gracz; six grandchildren: Austin (April) Finkbeiner, Logan ( Korrine) Finkbeiner, Erika Finkbeiner, Ryan Gracz, Trevor (Kaitlyn) Gracz, Bailey Gracz; great-granddaughter, Harlee Bortle; several brothers, sisters, and their spouses, and many other family members and friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
