COVID-19 UPDATE: With the recent guidelines limiting the number of people to less than 10 at any gathering, we are asking that you consider other ways to help support family and friends during this difficult time as an alternative to attending a visitation or funeral.
Age 69, of Montrose, died on Sunday, July 5, 2020, at Henry Ford Hospital after a very short illness. In accordance with Kathy’s wishes, her family will receive friends at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Service in Mt. Morris on Friday, from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm, and there will be no service. Kathy will be laid to rest privately with her husband, Joe, at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. Kathy was born in northern Michigan, on December 6, 1950, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles “Ray” and Mary “Anna Mae” (LeClair) Lee. Raised northern Michigan, Kathy’s family would move to Flint, where she attended Hamady High School, graduating with the Class of 1969.
Kathy would meet the love of her life, Joe Badgero, through her brothers; the two dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on August 24, 1974. Sadly, Joe preceded her in death on January 3, 2019. Kathy worked in retail all her life, but her most important role was being a wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandma. When not busy with family, Kathy enjoyed camping, drinking Fire Ball, dining out, and going to lunch with her brother, Al. She was also an avid collector of Emmett Kelly clowns.
Kathy leaves to cherish her memory, daughters: Cindy and husband, Bryan Walsh and Pam and husband, Jason Boyd; grandchildren: Kelsea, Austin, Alexina, McKenna, Dylan, Katelyn, Tyce, Kassidy, Caden, Madison; great-grandchildren: Alice, Teagan, Olivia, and Dese; brothers: Lanny and wife, Posey Lee, Al and wife, Debi Lee and Tony and wife, Denise Lee; sister-in-law, Steph Lee; and several nieces and nephews.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joe and brother, Larry
