Obituary of John W. Csehi

Of Burton, age 85, died Thursday, October 3, 2013, at home. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 am, Thursday, October 10, 2013, at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Wednesday evening, family and friends will gather at the funeral home at 6:30 pm for a Life Remembrance Celebration. On Thursday morning, John will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Mary's Church or School. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. John was born December 2, 1927, in Mt. Morris, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Steven and Tresa (Harcz) Csehi. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. John operated Csehi Farm in Mt. Morris until his retirement. Left to cherish his memory are nephew, Bob and wife, Rosalie Wiederman; nieces, Linda Wiederman, Nancy Wiederman, and Gloria Couvillon; 10 great nieces and nephews; cousins, Paul and wife, Betty Harcz and Rosie Christenson; and special friend and traveling companion, Maxine Kilkoin. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rose Wiederman, brothers, Steve and Joseph Csehi, and nephews, Louis, James, William and Stephen Wiederman.
