I was so sad to open the paper to see Scarlett had passed! She was always so kind to me and my children when they were little and would walk down from the jewelry store to buy a flower for me at McLee’s. She would let them go in the cooler and pick which one they liked, always with baby’s breath and tied with a ribbon. I am so sorry for you loss Craig and your family! She was a gem! Scarlett has been a big part of my life and was always there for me. I will miss her beautiful smile, her great sense of humor, her ability to spar with people and her caring nature. Scarlett was involved with local senior centers for decades, helping put on shows, teaching line dancing and clogging She was a very devoted wife to my brother, Craig, a devoted mother to her two boys, Rob and Chad. Scarlett had a deep love of gardening as well as decorating and her talents showed in the shop she used to own as well as in her awesome home. These were talents she took part in alongside her husband, Craig. Her strength and courage, her determination, as well as her stubbornness, kept her spirits high as she faced death. Her favorite saying was, "It is what it is". She had a sign above one door that said "Come as a stranger, leave as a friend". People who knew Scarlett were truly Blessed. ♥
