Obituary of Pricilla Jean Roberts
COVID-19 UPDATE: With the recent guidelines limiting the number of people to less than 50 at any gathering, we are asking that you consider other ways to help support family and friends during this difficult time as an alternative to attending a visitation or funeral.
Age 76, of Mt. Morris, went home to rest with her personal Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 22, 2020, at Birch Run Fields Assisted Living. A private burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery. Pricilla was born on January 16, 1944, in Gideon, Missouri, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis and Mabel (Markee) Stallions. As a young child, she relocated with her family to Burton, where she attended Bendle Schools, graduating in 1962. She met the love of her life, Jerry Roberts, and the two were united in marriage on June 22, 1962. Pricilla was a busy wife, mom, and homemaker for many years. After raising her children, she went back to work as a clerk at the Flint Journal until retirement. She was an active member of Colonial Hills Baptist Church, singing in the choir and serving as a deaconess. Pricilla loved her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She rarely missed a sporting event or other occasion that involved her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, painting, and bird watching.
Pricilla leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 57 years, Jerry; three children: Wayne (Brenda) Roberts, Teresa Roberts (fiancé Joe Papesh), and Jeanette (Jeffery) Stoltenberg; five grandchildren: Ryan (Melissa) Gillett, Lindsay Gillett, Chelsea (Brennon) Eudis, James Roberts, and Monica Roberts; step-granddaughter, Emily Stoltenberg; sister, Joanna “Kay” (Steve) Partridge; and many nieces and nephews. Pricilla was preceded in death by both of her parents; twin sisters, Bonnie Brazeal and Connie Booth; and sister-in-law, and dear friend, Barbara, and husband, Bill Wolverton.
The family would like to give special thanks to her caregiver, Anna Drouin, Heart to Heart Hospice, and Birch Run Fields Assisted Living for all of the excellent care given to Pricilla. Memorial contributions may be directed to Heart to Heart Hospice, 2029 Elms Road, Suite A, Swartz Creek, MI 48473.
