Harriet was born on April 8, 1935, in St. Augustine, Florida, to Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Anne (Gregus) Culver. Harriet met and married the love of her life, William Root, on May 7, 1955. Together, they raised seven beautiful children. Sadly, he preceded her in death on August 20, 2006. A devoted wife and mother, Harriet loved caring for her family. Harriet took great pride in keeping an immaculate home. Harriet was a girl scout leader for many years. She also never missed any of her children’s sporting events. In her free time, Harriet enjoyed bowling, baking, and cooking, but most of all, she loved going up to Kalkaska, with her family, where they enjoyed exploring the outdoors.
