Obituary of Ted Zbiciak
Age 90, of Grand Blanc, died Friday, February 21, 2020. The visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Ted was born August 22, 1929, in Flint, Michigan, to Polish immigrants Josephine and Joseph Zbiciak. He graduated from All Saints High School in 1946 and enlisted in the Naval Reserves at 17 years old. Ted married Elizabeth Andrykovich in 1950. He worked at General Motors for 40 years, retiring in 1984.
Ted enjoyed spending time at the cottage on Crystal Lake for over 25 years and being with his large extended family. His hobbies were numismatics, photography, and puzzle books. Ted was a devoted Catholic who served in various organizations within the church, Sacred Heart, St. Agnes, and Holy Family, and was very active in the Holy Family 55 and older club.
Ted will be greatly missed. He had a special gift for engaging people, making them smile and feel appreciated. He leaves behind loving family members, friends, neighbors, and his dearest friend, Jane Fraiser.
He was proceeded in death by his beloved wife Elizabeth of 63 years.
Surviving are his son, Gary (Eileen) Zbiciak of Escondido, California, daughter, Thia (Delbert) Utz of Silver City, New Mexico; granddaughter, Sasha (Stephen) Sandoval of Kuna, Idaho; his sister, Helen Simek of Clio, Michigan; sister-in-law, Anna Marie Andrykovich of Swartz Creek, Michigan, as well as many wonderful nieces, nephews, and cousins.
