Obituary of Kenneth Watson Gibbs
Age 80 of Mt. Morris died at home on Tuesday, February 17, 2020. In accordance with Ken’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
Ken was born on May 29, 1939, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. As a young boy, he would move to Flint, where he was educated locally. Ken would go on to work for General Motors at the V-8 Engine Plant, retiring in 2000 with 39 years of service. He was a member of the UAW# 659. Ken proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserves for 16 years.
In 1999, Ken met the love of his life, Shirley Dean. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on July 18, 1999, in Montrose.
Ken enjoyed hunting, working on tractors and lawnmowers, eating out, watching old westerns, listening to country music, horseback riding, and animals.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Shirley; and several nieces and nephews.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters; and one brother.
