To my big brother Danny Mims,\
\
You are the shining star of your family. You helped us through troubled times as well as good times, with your good-natured manner, and with your selflessness, and tireless work ethic. Danny never met a stranger and was a friend to all. Danny helped all who sought him, and never turned away anyone in need. DannyAaas lifework and deeds taught us all how one should live. DannyAaas death, so sudden and tragic, also taught us how to die. Helping others. Danny was always helping someone, especially family and friends. A finer person than Danny has never walked the face of the earth. Danny gave his life to helping others. Just ask anyone who knew him. I will miss Danny every day for the rest of my days on this earth. We will justly be treated in our next lifetime for our conduct and our treatment of GodAaas children in this lifetime. When I see Danny again, he will be resting on his throne, right next to God.\

As much as I know you are in a better place, my heart is broken to lose you. May God be with us during this tragic time. You were always there for me, and for so many people. So many people have been blessed by your life. Rest in peace my sweet baby brotherAaAI love you baby doll.\

As we memorialized Dan, and carried him to his rest, we were accompanied by hundreds of people. We were so blessed by the many family members and friends gathered to honor Dan. Dan would be proud to see that big flatbed tow truck in the funeral procession. \
\
To everyone near and far that were with us this week, prayed for us, or just kept us in your thoughts, my very deepest thanks. We are blessed by all the angels out there at such a sad time.\
\
You were deeply loved by many, Dan - a fitting tribute to the incredible man we were greatly favored to share our lives with. You changed our lives forever. We will always, always love you.\

Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in thy way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. - Exodus 23:20\

I don't exactly know what to say but I am sorry for your loss. At the family functions he always had a way to make me smile. Even at grandma Carlene's funeral, when I thought I'd never smile again, there he was making me laugh and remember that no matter how much i was hurting life went on. Word cannot express the true amount of sympathy I am sending to you all. Just try to remember that as long as he lives in your memories and in your hearts he is never gone.\
It is no the length of life that matters, its the depth.

Dear Turauna and girls,\
\
I hardly know what to say, except that my heart goes out to all of you at this very difficult time. Dan was a great guy and I always think of him with a smile on his face and a hand to lend. We so enjoyed living next door to you on Lawndale and have many fond memories of those times. Since we both had four daughters, I always felt like we shared a special connection. Dan will be sorely missed by all who knew him, I'm sure. Please take care of each other and know that you are in our hearts and prayers. We'll be in touch. We love you.

Just want you to know how much we love your family, and how much we love and will miss Dan. He is a good man, kind-hearted, and one of the most genuine people we've ever known. We can't begin to understand the heartache you're going through but we share your grief and want you to know that we are here for you and that we are praying that you will be comforted and feel the Lord's peace at this difficult time. How grateful we are for the atonement, for eternal families, and for the knowledge that we will be reunited with our loved ones again one day. And while this knowledge doesn't take away the pain of their loss, it does give us hope for the future. We love you all.
