Obituary of Ruth Janet Schoeppach
Age 97, died January 21, 2020, with her family by her side. In accordance with Ruth’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A burial at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery will be scheduled for this summer.
Ruth was born in Flint on August 18, 1922, to Mr. and Mrs. William and Edna (Grieb) Sweet. Growing up in Mt. Morris, she attended Mt. Morris High School where she met Wayne Schoeppach. After her graduation with the class of 1941, they married in Mt. Morris on September 26, 1942. Sadly he preceded her in death on October 6, 2018. In her free time, Ruth liked to sew, play cards, and especially loved to travel.
Ruth is survived by her children: Wayne and wife, Jill Schoeppach, Jr., and Kim and wife, Nancy Schoeppach; grandchildren: Dawn and husband, Rob Luce, Todd and wife, Marie Schoeppach, Jennifer and husband, Larry Birmingham, and Michael and wife, Annie Jones; brother: Gene Sweet, sister-in-law: Florence and husband, Frank Baker; seven great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Wayne; siblings: Doris and husband, Leslie George, William and wife, Dorothy Sweet Jr., Phyllis and husband, Robert Blake; sister-in-law: Shirley Sweet and brother-in-law: Louie Schoeppach.
