Obituary of Ruth Ann Pepitone
Age 84, of Flint, died unexpectedly, with her family by her side, on Thursday, December 19, 2019, at McLaren-Flint. In accordance with Ruth Ann’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Life Celebration will be held at 12:00 noon, Monday, December 30, 2019, at Montrose Family Worship Center 9453 W. Vienna Road. Pastor Bob Leming will officiate. Ruth Ann’s family will receive friends at church from 11:00 am until the time of service. Memorial donations may be directed to Montrose Family Worship Center. Envelopes are available at the church.
Ruth Ann was born on August 19, 1935, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry and Pansy (Sullivan) Powers. She and Phillip Pepitone were united in marriage on June 11, 1955. Sadly, Phil preceded her in death on May 15, 2013. Ruth Ann worked as a meat wrapper for Hamady Brothers for many years, until her retirement. She was a member of the Flushing Moose Lodge #1437, their “Hooker” crocheting club, and the Independent Order of Foresters #1195.
Ruth Ann loved spending time with her family, crocheting, gardening, playing cards, going up north, and taking trips to the casino. Ruth Ann and Phil also enjoyed running their vegetable stand together for 14 years.
Ruth Ann leaves to cherish her memory her children: Kim and husband, Derek Clevers, Pam York, and Dennis and wife, Sherri Pepitone; grandchildren: Donnie (Erin) York, Billy York, Amber (Gerica) Pepitone, Jacob, and Aaron Pepitone; and affectionately known as “other grandma” by her great-grandchildren: Jaxon, Gavin, Izac and Ana.
