Obituary of Nellie French Foster
Age 82, of Mt. Morris, died Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at her home with her family by her side. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial dinner and burial, at Gracelawn Cemetery, will be scheduled at a later date.
Nellie was born in Bluefield, West Virginia, on April 9, 1937, to Mr. and Mrs. John and Mary (Rose) Medley. In 1954, she would move from West Virginia to Michigan and marry Ralph King. Her and Ralph would later divorce. She went on to meet Clarence Foster and they were married on August 5, 1963. He sadly preceded her in death on July 6, 1999. In her free, time Nellie loved bowling, playing cards, knitting, cooking, and volunteering as a cub scout leader.
She is survived by her children: Jerry and wife, Kathy King, Ralph Ray King, Daniel King, and June and husband, Kevin Cromwell, grandchildren: Kathleen Wade, Katrina King, Scott King, Sara Palmer, Alan Cromwell, and Derek Cromwell, 13 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Nellie was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Clarence, two infant children: Clarence Jr. and Frances, grandchild: Keri Bell, and her brother: Robert Medley.
