Obituary of Ronald Joseph Rosinski
Age 81, died Monday, December 16, 2019, at Ascension Genesys Hospital, with his loving wife by his side. A funeral service will take place at 1:00 pm, on Saturday, December 21, 2019, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Reverend Dennis Tanner to officiate, with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Ronald was born on August 29, 1938, in Centerville Township, Michigan. He is the son of Joseph and Mary (Laskey) Rosinski. Ronald married the love of his life, Claudia Snyder, on March 2, 1979. Ronald heeded the call of his country, serving in the United States Army, from 1956 until 1961, attaining the rank of Corporal. When he came home from his military service, he worked for GM Truck and Bus for over 30 years, until his retirement in 1990. Ronald was a member of the Clio Country Club for over 30 years and could always be found on the golf course. Golf was his true passion in life. He was also a member of the Flint Bowling Association. In his younger years, Ronald attended St. Francis High School in Traverse City, where he was the All-State point guard for the school basketball team. Ronald was a huge Notre Dame fan and loved the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions. He had such a love for his family, especially his grandchildren. Ronald will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Claudia; children: Ronald and wife, Pat Rosinski, Cindy and husband, Rick Barber, Donald and wife, Maggie Whitehead, Richard Whitehead, Karen and husband, Austin Dunkle; sisters: Arlean Wood, Shirley and husband, Tom Wood, Nancy and husband, Bob Piche: 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; his amazing golf buddies that were like brothers to him; Joe Schultz, Jerry Boughton, and Joe Sullivan.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry Rosinski.
