Paula was born June 5, 1930, in Flint, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.C. and Marjorie (Teeters) Glassburn. Educated locally, Paula attended Clio Area Schools. She would go onto marry Ronald Plew on May 12, 1950, in Clio, and their union bore four children. Paula and Ron enjoyed going Up North to Bois Blanc Island and spending time with a fellow couple, Betty Ann and Roy Martin. Paula worked for Babcock IGA in Clio for seven years, retiring in 1972 as a deli clerk. Upon her retirement, she was able to do the things she loved, being with her family and serving her church. Paula was an active member of First Baptist Church in Mount Morris. She was also a caretaker for those in her family. Visits to Paula’s home meant you never left empty-handed! Whether you were leaving with her famous homemade buttered popcorn served with malts, Christmas time peanut butter fudge, buttered Cheerios, canned goods, or even gas money, everyone was well taken care of by Paula. Her glow of love and light will be missed by all those she touched.
Left to cherish her memory are sons: Ronald Kurt and wife, Nancy Plew, and Kenneth Douglas and wife, Debra Plew; daughters: KayAnn Morgan and fiance, Mark Darling, and KimAnn and husband Ed Cozart; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Paula preceded in death by her husband Ronald; grandsons: Eric Plew, David Plew, and Bradley Rhodes; and her parents.
