Obituary of Juanita Marie Lokken
Age 82, of Mt. Morris, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2019, with her family by her side. The funeral service will take place at 12:00 noon, Friday, October 25, 2019, at the Salvation Army Flint Citadel Corps, 211 W. Kearsley St. Flint; Captain Randy Hellstrom officiating; burial will take place at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, at 9:00 am, Tuesday, October 29, 2019. Juanita's family will be present at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Grand Blanc, to receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. On Friday morning, Juanita will be taken to church to lie in state from 11:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 noon. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the Salvation Army Flint Citadel Corps or the Masonic Pathways. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church.
Juanita was born in West Branch, Michigan, on April 30, 1937, she is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank and Bessie (Pierce) Fitzgerald. Juanita graduated from Flint Central High School with the class of 1955. She married the love of her life, Jerome "Jerry" Lokken, on January 7, 1956. Sadly, he preceded her in death on May 13, 2010. Juanita was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. In her free time, Juanita loved volunteering at her church; she also enjoyed flower gardening, bird watching, and playing the piano.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Dawn, and husband, Todd Lendzion; son, Jerry Lokken, and wife, Cindy Kurtz; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara, and husband, Rolan Thomas; brother, Larry Fahrner; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry; her sister Nancy; and brother, Lloyd.
