Obituary of Joseph Ernest Jackson
Age 72, of Mt. Morris, died Saturday, October 12, 2019, at home. In accordance with Joe's wishes, cremation has taken place; there are no further services scheduled at this time.
Joe was born in Flint, on October 14, 1946, he is the son of Mr. Mrs. Ernest and Angeline (Missuraca) Jackson. Educated locally at St. Mary Catholic School in Flint, graduating with the class of 1963. Shortly after high school, Joe would heed his call of duty, proudly serving in the United States Army until receiving his honorable discharge. Upon returning to civilian life, Joe would meet, fall in love and marry, Sherry on July 17, 1978, in Burton. Joe worked production at Buick for 34.5-years, retiring in 1998; he was a long-time member of UAW Local #599. In his free time, Joe enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. To many Joe was a man of all trades and was known for lending a helping hand to those who needed it; from completing their home repairs to installing satellite dishes, he also enjoyed hunting, and fishing with Sherry.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Sherry; and his son, Anthony "Tony" Jackson; and many other family members and friends.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents.
