Obituary of Lisa Charmaine Adams (L.A.)
Age 52, of Flint, passed suddenly Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at Hurley Medical Center in Flint. A Celebration of Lisa’s Life will take place at 3:00 pm, Sunday, May 19, 2019, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Family will receive loved one’s at the funeral home on Saturday, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Sunday, from 1:00 pm until time of service at 3:00 pm. Pastor Venus Pope will officiate with cremation to follow. Memorial donations may be directed to the family.
Lisa was born August 22, 1966, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of James Flowers and Dorothy Akins. She was a graduate of Flint Central High School, graduating with the Class of 1984. She started her career as a bus driver with the Flint Community Schools, before moving to Beecher School's for a short time, and ultimately making Mt. Morris Consolidated Schools her home, where she was known as Miss Lisa to her many beloved students.
When not busy with family and friends, Lisa enjoyed traveling to Florida, collecting dolphins and angels, decorating her bus with student artwork, and having a beautiful flower garden at her home.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Nichole Skalecki; grandchildren, Julian “J” Carpenter, Jaden “Boo Boo” Howd, and Jordan Michael Howd, also including their father and close family member Michael Howd; brother, Bob Adams; sister, Debbie Adams; nieces and nephews, Dennis, Bobby, Denise, Kevin, Randy, Ricky, Tammi, Tina, Toni, Ronnie, Michelle, Tia, Daryn, Denise, Corey, and Tyler; special niece and nephew, Shanah and Quinton Adams; special friends, Laly, Elvira, Rusty, Sandy, Lisa Peek and The Crew, Big John, Jeff Lott, John Gilbert, and many other dear friends; and special friends, Alberto and Nichol Albiar and their family.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ronald and Daniel; best friend’s Charles “Chuckie” Leaym and Lynn Collins; and her special little angel Alyssa Gonzales; and her beloved dogs: Chula and Ty.
