Obituary of Patricia Jean Coulter
Age 62, of Mt. Morris, passed away Friday, April 12, 2019, at Ascension Genesys Hospital with her family by her side. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at 1:00 PM. Mr. Scott Shamel officiating with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Pat's family will be present to receive guests at the funeral home on Monday, from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM; and on Tuesday, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM.
Pat was born in Flint, on March 30, 1957, she is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Peggy (Parker) Averill. She graduated from Beecher High School with the class of 1975 and continued her education at Baker College with an interest in Preschool Development & Education. She married the love of her life, Tom Coulter on September 7, 1974, at the Beecher Free Methodist Church. Pat loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother. In her free time, Pat enjoyed sewing clothes for her grandchildren, arts & crafts, and she was an avid MSU sports fan. She also enjoyed fishing with her husband, dancing and loved to have fun.
Left to cherish her memory; husband of 44.5 years, Tom; three children: Teri (Shea) Fitzgerald, Tommy (Dianna) Coulter, and Gina (Shawn) McFray; seven grandchildren: Michael, Danny, Ethan, Madison, Daisy, Camden, Charli; two brothers: John (Shari) Averill, Jimbo (Cherie) Averill; sister and best friend, Glenda Shoopman.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Doug Averill, and sister, Kim Wolodkin.
