Margaret was born on September 29, 1927, in London, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Calvin and Margaret (Beck) McGuffin. Her father died when she was a little girl, and she was blessed with being raised by her stepfather, Maynard Chambers. Margaret married Harold Harburn, which led her to immigrate to the United States. She was an office secretary for many years, while also being busy at home taking care of her family. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Davison and enjoyed spending time with her family, volunteering at church and traveling.
Margaret leaves to cherish her memory son, George, and wife, Christy Harburn; daughter, Kathy, and husband, Larry Bieling; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. She served as ‘grandma’ to any child or adult that she met along the way. Margaret leaves her brother, James, and wife, Rosalee Chambers, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; sons, Charles and Dennis Harburn; and sister, Mildred Roe. The family would like to thank the staff of Melody Pines for all the love and care given to Margaret.
