Obituary of Elinor Emily Pruett
Of Mt. Morris, age 100, died Saturday, March 23, 2019, surrounded by her family. Per Elinor’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
Elinor was born December 26, 1918, in Traverse City, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Urban and Edna (Stoops) Boismer. She married Dallas Pruett, and he has preceded her in death. Elinor worked as a store clerk for Sears downtown Flint, moving with them to Genesee Valley before retiring. After retirement, she and Dallas enjoyed traveling, spending time at the cabin at Secord Lake, and wintering in Florida. While in Florida, she became a sales clerk at Belles and enjoyed going to flea markets. Elinor was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Elinor leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Darlene Peacock, grandchildren, Trudy and husband, Ron Nicks, Lance and wife, Jean Troop, Cory and wife, Julie Troop and Crystal and husband, Gurham Reddy; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters and her husband.
