Obituary of Isabelle "Betty" Margaret Delecki
Age 96, of Clio, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019, in Franciscan Villa in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris, Rev. Fr. Carl Simon officiating, with burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Saginaw. Isabelle's family will be present at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris, to receive guests on Tuesday, from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. On Tuesday evening, family, friends, and parish will gather to pray the Rosary at 7:00 pm. On Wednesday morning, Isabelle will be taken to the church to lie in state from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to St. Mary Catholic Church or to the North End Soup Kitchen. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church.
Isabelle was born in Saginaw, Michigan, on February 1, 1923, she is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis and Catherine (Pawlante) Smokoska. She married the love of her life, Chester Delecki on May 11, 1957. Sadly, he preceded her in death on June 19, 1994. Isabelle was a waitress for Raymond’s Restaurant in Saginaw for many years until 1957 when she became the co-owner-operator of Chets E&F Market from 1957, until she and her husband retired in 1975, from there she became a cook at Colonial Lanes for 19 years, until retiring in 1994. In her free time, Isabelle enjoyed spending time with family and friends, bowling, crocheting, completing word searches, playing Euchre and Three Thirteen card games. She also enjoyed listening to polka music and polka dancing and watching soaps and game shows. She was a huge fan of the Detroit Tigers.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Margaret and husband, Leonard Weaver, step-daughter, Delores and husband, Emil Mueller, and Michael and wife, Tamara Delecki; five grandchildren: Paula, Michelle, Jennifer, Daniel, and Patrick; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews,
and friends.
Isabelle was preceded in death by her parents; husband Chester; grandson Keith; great-granddaughter Phoenix; three brothers and three sisters.
