Obituary of Lloyd Lewis Williams
Age 86 of Clio, died Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at Ascension-Genesys in Grand Blanc. In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 pm, on Friday, March 1, 2019, at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery.
Lloyd was born January 5, 1933, in Flint Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee and Caroline (Waltrip) Williams. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a Purple Heart recipient. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to work at Buick as an investigator, where he worked for 34 years. In addition, he hired in as an Mt. Morris Township Police Officer where he worked for several years. Lloyd enjoyed skeet shooting, painting, hunting, fishing, and was a pilot. He was a member at the Frankenmuth Gun Club, the Frankenmuth Airport and the Flushing Moose Lodge.
Left to cherish his memory are two sons; Rick and wife, Patti Williams, and Clark Williams; stepchildren, Cheryl and husband, Bob Coaster, John and wife, Amy Akridge, and Karen and husband, Jim White; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brother, Lawrence Williams.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn; son, Lloyd; brothers, Lee and Walt Williams; and sister Patricia Burnside.
