Obituary of Jason Alan Smith
Jason Alan Smith, age 38, quietly passed away at his family home on Saturday, February 16, 2019. Jason came into this world a ray of sunshine to Mr. and Mrs. Alan Lee and Sandra Jean Smith on April 24, 1980, in Caro.
Jason was extremely active in journalism and theatre during his school years and graduated from Vassar High School, class of 1998. From there, he traveled to California, to follow his dream and talent for being a writer and producer. After some time in California, he returned home to help his parents, and to pursue the other talents he had. Jason was a vegetarian, he then started to become the budding home chef, with the ambitions to start a food truck. His favorite area of expertise, being anything cheesy! Jason was a champion for the ones he loved because his kindness knew no end. While Jason walked on this earth, he touched many lives with his vibrant smile and hilariously genius commentary.
He is survived by his loving father, Alan Lee Smith; lifetime friends: Christina (Herzberger) Best, Dena (Garlick) Kabat, and Tenya (Leach) Vaagen; his sweet little bossy dog, Tasha, and his ninja of a cat, Marlena.
Jason was preceded in death by his mother Sandra Jean Smith.
In accordance with Jason’s wishes cremation has taken place; there are no further services scheduled at this time. Jason’s ashes will be laid to rest next to his beloved mother at Demorest Township Cemetery. Plans will be made for a graveside Memorial Service to be held later in the Spring because Jason was not fond of the cold weather. Those desiring may consider condolences or memorials to Alan Lee Smith.
