Obituary of Ellen Isabel Intawong
Age 63, of Mt. Morris, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at Ascension Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc. A funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Monday, January 14, 2019, at the Richfield Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Alan Duce will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. On Monday morning Ellen will be taken to the church to lie in state from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am.
Ellen was born on July 11, 1955, in Pigeon, Michigan, to the late Mr. & Mrs. Emmett and Lillie (Street) Coons. She graduated from Lapeer High School class of 1974. She and Jack Intawong were united in marriage on September 2, 1978, in Mt. Morris. Ellen worked for Arby’s for 29 years as a Unit Trainer before her retirement. She was a member of the Richfield Church of the Nazarene. She was a member of the church’s choir and Bible Study group. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, listening to music, crocheting, reading, and playing card and board games. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband: Jack Intawong; two daughters: Christy and husband, Daniel Jesse, Lisa and husband, Douglas “Bill” Taylor; four grandchildren: Mckinzie, Douglas “Tre,” Alexis, Aubree; two brothers and two sisters: David and wife, Jackie Coons, DeWayne and wife, Patti Coons, Carol and husband, Tony Hoynacke, Mary and husband, Bruce Edwards; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Ellen was preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth Intawong and parents.
