Obituary of Joseph Eugene Badgero
Age 69, of Montrose, died Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Avista Nursing and Rehab in Saginaw. Funeral service will be 10:00 am Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Wednesday morning from 9:00 am until the time of service at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Great Lake National Cemetery with graveside military honors. Memorial donations may be directed to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Joe was born November 30, 1949, in Bay City, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James and Bertha (Stayte) Badgero. He was raised in Flint, graduating from Beecher High School in 1968. He went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Air Force. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to Flint where he and Kathleen Lee were united in marriage on August 24, 1974. Joe would continue to serve the military in the Army Reserves while working his civilian jobs. He enjoyed working on cars, spending time with his family, hunting, camping, watching NASCAR and attending the races at Auto City Speedway.
Joe leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Kathleen Badgero; daughters: Pamela and husband, Jason Boyd, Cindy and husband, Bryan Walsh; grandchildren: Kelsea, Alexina, McKenna, Dylan, Tyce, Kassidy, Caden, Madison ; great-grandchildren: Alice, Teagan; siblings Jim Badgero, Jerry Badgero, Jean Cornell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters: Patricia Hancock, and Susan Runnion.
