Obituary of Gale C Jacobi
Gale C. Jacobi, age 75, of Montrose, passed away Monday, December 31, 2018, at his home. In accordance with Gale's wishes cremation has taken place; there are no further services scheduled at this time. Gale was born in Flint, Michigan, on July 24, 1943, he is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Conrad and Gretchen (Clark) Jacobi.
Gale was a welder for General Motors for 35.6 years before retiring. He was a long-time member of UAW Local #599. In his free time, Gale enjoyed working. He owned and operated several sawmills throughout the years, riding his Harley, and spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed farming and splitting wood.
Left to cherish his memory are two children: Randy and wife, Annette Jacobi, and Christine and wife, Angela Jackson and their mother, Laurene McGinty; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Jim and wife, Sue Jacobi; sister-in-law, Sandy Jacobi, and many other family members and friends.
Gale was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Jamie, and brother Curt.
