Obituary of Marlene Virginia Johnson
Age 80, of Mount Morris, died, Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Ascension Genesys Hospital In accordance with Marlene’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of Marlene’s life is scheduled for a later date. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Humane Society of Genesee County.
Marlene was born in Flint, on July 16, 1938, to the late Mr.& Mrs. John and Helen (Marzec) Delecki. She attended Saint Agnes Catholic School and graduated with the class of 1956. Marlene worked for the Westwood Heights “Hamady” school system for 30 years, until her retirement in 2001. Marlene loved to laugh and will be missed for her good spirits. She loved the sun, bright colors, and dragonflies.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: David and wife, Hyon Johnson, Tina Johnson; grandchildren: Yuna and husband, Andy Davis, Samuel Johnson, and girlfriend Robyn Woodruff; siblings: Ken Delecki, Midge Abee, Donna, and husband, Russel Pinkston; sister-in-law, Clarentine “sis” and husband, Harry Elmore; special friend, Ann Wandrie; cats: Cassie and Charlie.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to Ascension Genesys Hospital’s Intensive Care, and Hospice units.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
