Obituary of Linda Louise Slayton
Age, 53 of Mount Morris, died, Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at her home. In accordance with Linda’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service for Linda will take place at 10:00 am, Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Martin Funeral, Cremation, & Tribute Services in Mount Morris.
Linda was born in Flint, Michigan on March 19, 1965, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Benjamin Jr. and Evelyn (Tufford) Slayton. She attended Mount Morris Schools where she would obtain her high school diploma. Linda worked as a caregiver for her professional life, most notably caring for her dear mother. She was a talented cook, who loved to garden. When her health began to fail her, she started gardening indoors growing tomatoes, peppers, and even cucumbers in pots. She could be found watching her favorite TV show “The Walking Dead.” She also loved WWE wrestling and was crazy about Kevin Nash.
Left to cherish her memory are brothers: Robert B. Slayton III, Gene Slayton; nephews: Dwayne Blanchard, Anthony Slayton, Steven Slayton; niece, Sarah Slayton; special friends: Carol Clemons, and Tim Jerke; cat, Fred Chapman; dog, Lola; and cockatiel, Henry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents: Elva and Emmerson Tufford, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert B. Slayton.
