Obituary of Jayne Louise DuBois
Age 82, of Vassar, died, Thursday, November 15, 2018, at home. In accordance with Jayne’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of Jayne’s life will be held when the flowers are in bloom again. Those desiring may make contributions to Habitat for Humanity, or Vassar Presbyterian Church.
Jayne was born in St. Louis Michigan on July 21, 1936, to the late Mr.& Mrs. Emery and Thelma (Giles) Bebow. She graduated with the St. Louis High School class of 1954. After graduation Jayne moved to Saginaw, Michigan, to study nursing. It was in Saginaw that she met the love of her life, Leads DuBois. The two married in Cadillac, Michigan on February 23, 1957. Their union bore two children Katherine and Brian. Jayne worked for DuLaur Products as a secretary, until the company closed. She then went on to work at Bronner’s CHRISTmas Wonderland for twelve years as a sales associate. She liked the joke that she was one of Santa’s Elves. When she was not working Jayne was heavily involved with the betterment of Vassar. She was a devoted member of Vassar Presbyterian Church, sat on the county board for Habitat for Humanity, and was a founder and chair of the Vassar Petunia Fund.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Katherine DuBois, and Brian DuBois; grandchildren: Aaron and wife, Amanda DuBois; great-grandchildren: Ava, and Aria; siblings: Jerry and wife, Helen Bebow, Emrie Ann Burnside, Richard and wife, Cheryl Bebow, Sally and husband, Carl Yost; brother-in-law: James and wife Mary Lou DuBois; special friends: Louanne Campbell, Betty Jo Atkins, Nancy and Dennis Fent.
Jayne was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
