Obituary of Michel J. VanAlst

Of Clio, age 58, died Sunday, October 13, 2013, at Home. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with cremation to follow. Michel's family will be present at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services on Tuesday, from 1:00pm until 8:00 pm. On Tuesday Evening family, friends and parish will gather to pray the Rosary at 5:00 pm. Memorial contributions to the Heartland Hospice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Michel was born April 11, 1955 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roger and Mary Ann (Allard) VanAlst. Left to cherish her memory are two children; Devon and wife Lindsey Hall and Heidi Hall; and their dad Herbert Hall; mother Mary Ann VanAlst; six siblings, Gene and wife Charlene VanAlst Paul VanAlst; Mark and wife Teresa VanAlst, Dean VanAlst, Scott and wife Dana VanAlst and Frederica and husband Joe Cotherman; several nieces; nephews; the Hall Family; and many friends from the American Red Cross. Michel was preceded in death by her father, Roger VanAlst; grandparents Lambert and Frederica VanAlst; and Stanley and Marian Allard.
