Obituary of Lorraine Matilda Morse
Lorraine Matilda (Bernia) Morse, age 101, of Dexter, Missouri, formerly of Mt. Morris, Michigan, died, Friday, November 2, 2018, at home surrounded by her family. The funeral will take place 11:00 am, Friday, November 9, 2018, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris, Michigan, with burial following in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and again on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Lorraine was born on September 5, 1917, in Tower, Michigan to the late Mr. & Mrs. Joseph and Mary (Peltier) Bernia. She was united in marriage to Carl on August 28, 1937, in Sault Ste. Marie. Sadly he preceded her in death in March of 1998. Lorraine was a stay at home mother and housewife, raising five children. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time sewing, hunting, fishing, cooking, and baking.
Left to cherish her memory are her three children: Beverly Sneller of San Diego, California, Art Morse of Dexter, Missouri, and Irene and her husband, William Watson of Pinconning, Michigan; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law: Judy Morse of Frankenmuth; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband Carl, grandson, Tony Watson, parents, two sons, Carl and Glen, and 11 siblings.
