Obituary of Patricia Ellen Hunkins (Bellamy)
Patricia Ellen (Bellamy) Hunkins, age 71, of Mayville, died Thursday, October 18, 2018, at home, surrounded by her family. In accordance with Patricia’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
Patricia was born in Mayville, Michigan, on February 27, 1947, to the late Mr. & Mrs. Donald and Helen (Kreiger) Bellamy. She graduated from Mayville High School, class of 1965. Patricia continued her education at Mott Community College, studying nursing. She worked hard to put herself through school. Upon her graduation, she began her career a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). She worked at Tuscola Medical Care Facility, and for the Lapeer County Medical Care Facility “Suncrest.” After 20 plus years she retired from both organizations, most recently Lapeer County, in February of 2012. Patricia will be remembered for being a hard worker, and a very meticulous person. In her retirement, she enjoyed trips to the casino and reading.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Laurie Long; sons: Jarett Moore, George and wife, Traci Moore; grandchildren: Ashley and husband, Steven Ostrom, Heather Sousa, Joseph “Joe” Moore, Jesse Moore, Logan and wife, Hanna Moore, Samantha Moore, Madelyn Smith, Paige Smith; seven great-grandchildren; and a numerous nieces and nephews.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents.
