Obituary of Audrey Jeanne Booth
Audrey Jeanne’ Booth, age 75 of Mayville, Michigan, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, September 7, 2018, at her residence. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:30 PM, on Thursday, September 13, 2018, at Juniata Baptist Church.
Audrey was born on November 5, 1942, to Mr. and Mrs. Theodore and Lois Cough Gustafson. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior as a teenager. It was her deep faith, and trust in God that would help her with her battle with Polio. After graduating from high school in 1962, Audrey attended Bob Jones University to continue her studies. Her faith would lead her on the path to serving children. She worked as a teacher’s aid at Kincheloe Air Force Base, in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, and a house mother for an orphanage in New Britain, Connecticut.
On June 10, 1965, she married Robert Booth. Their fifty - three-year union bore four children. Her love for her family knew no bounds. During the last years of her life, she took every opportunity to tell her family that she loved them more. She was known for saying “love you more” when told “I love you” by her family. Audrey enjoyed puzzles, crocheting, playing Scrabble, drawing and painting. Her favorite places were sunny beaches, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and home.
