Obituary of Louise Marie Elleman
Louise Marie (Wright) Elleman, age 84, of Mt. Morris, passed away Monday, August 27, 2018, at Hospice House of Shiawassee County. A funeral service will take place Friday, August 31, 2018, at 1:00 pm at Flushing Presbyterian Church with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. Louise’s family will be present to receive friends at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris on Thursday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. On Friday morning Louise will be taken to the church to lie in state from 12:00 pm until the time of service at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Flushing Presbyterian Church or the Hospice House of Shiawassee County. Envelopes are available at the funeral home or church.
Louise was born on June 19, 1934, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Albert and Marion (Nelson) Wright. She graduated from Flint Northern High School. Louise was united in marriage to David “Jerry” Elleman on June 21, 1952, in Flint. She graduated from Mott Community College with a degree in Early Childhood Development. She received her bachelors in Elementary Education from the University of Michigan of Flint. Later, she earned her master’s from Eastern Michigan University. Louise worked for the Beecher School District for over 30 years before retiring. She belonged to the Flushing Presbyterian Church and the Red Hat Society. Louise loved to spend time with her family and hosting dinners for special occasions and Holidays. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, watching the University of Michigan football.
Left to cherish her memory are her four children: David Jr. and wife, Iris Elleman, Annette and husband, Paul Donn, Anthony Elleman, Timothy and wife, Pamela Elleman; eight grandchildren: Sabrina and husband James Zwerican, Mike Whiteley, Grant Whiteley, Deanna and husband James Capps, David Donn, Timothy II and wife, Rachel Elleman, Alexander Elleman, Dalton Elleman; four great-grandchildren; two siblings: Sanford and wife, Anna Wright, Sandra Saville; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband, David, and parents.
