Obituary of Sharon Louise (Hinkle) Hall

Sharon Louise (Hinkle) Hall, age 81, of Clio, passed Friday, August 24, 2018. Her funeral service will take place 12:00 noon, Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at the Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Rev. Karen Williams officiating with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Sharon's family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm; and on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of her service at 12:00 noon. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the Genesee County Humane Society in Sharon's name. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Sharon was born at her parent's home in Mt. Morris, Michigan on February 17, 1937. She is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hamer John and Justine Marie (Milligan) Hinkle. She attended school in Mt. Morris. She married the love of her life, Earl on April 27, 1963, in Mt. Morris. She was a Foster mom to 64 Foster children including many who were disabled. Sharon spent a good part of her life gardening and enjoyed tending to her flower beds vegetable garden and canning. She also was passionate about raising farm animals, and taking in and caring for stray pets. Sharon was full of love for life and spent much of her life caring, in her special way, for all who came to her home. She was known as the neighborhood mother to all. "When you went to visit at momma's home you never left hungry."
Her family, left to cherish her memory, loving husband, Earl; children: John and his wife, Christine Christian, Jack Hall, Frances (Hall) and her husband, Timothy Towery, and Howard Hall and his significant other, Jennifer Nieznajko; grandchildren: Daniel Hall, Andrew Towery, Timothy Towery, Valerie Hall, and Matthew Hall; along with many other family members and friends.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Sue Ann Frances Hall, son Steven Earl Hall, and her sister Frances Marie Young.
