Obituary of Lucille Opal Trickey
Lucille Opal (Lemos) Trickey, age 86, of Mt. Morris, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018, at home surrounded by her family. A funeral service will take place Monday, August 6, 2018, at 1:00 pm at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Ed MacDonald will officiate with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. Lucille’s family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Monday from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 1:00 pm.
Lucille was born on January 10, 1932, in Owosso, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. Jesse Lemos and Mrs. Elsie (Rouse) Koivupera. She graduated from Owosso High School class of 1951. Lucille and John F. Trickey were united in marriage on February 17, 1954. She worked for 26 years at Michigan Employment Security Commission as a claims examiner. She loved spending time with her family. Lucille loved country music and singing and would sing with various bands at local senior centers. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping, going to garage sales and auctions, and watching the Detroit Tigers.
Left to cherish her memory are her four daughters: Terry (Jack) Condon, Sherri (Tim) Koerber, Carrie Taboada, and Jackie (Wayne) Waskoski; five grandchildren: Robert Coggins, Stanley (Mariam) DeLand, Christie (Mike) MacDonald, Alana (T.J.) Huard, and Alex Taboada; five great-grandchildren: Nicole, Landon, Lauren, Eden, and Cameron; sister: Josephine (Jeremiah) Hall; brothers: Kenneth (Janet) Lemos and David Koivupera; fiance: Charles Huff; step-daughter-in-law: Anne Trickey; son-in-law: Bernie DeLand; and many step-grandchildren and many step-great-grandchildren.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband: John F. Trickey; father: Jesse Lemos: mother: Elsie Koivupera; sister: Linda Grainger; and step-son: Richard Trickey.
