Alane is my husband's grandmother. I wanted to share some of my favorite memories of her with the family. \ \ I remember one of the first things she said to me shortly after Jason and I started dating. There ended up being a pretty big get-together at Sue and Dave's house. What started out as one person stopping over ended up being almost the entire Baranski clan. I must have looked surprised because she leaned over to me and said, "Well, when you invite one of us, you invite all of us!" Through the years, I've become used to those get-togethers and realized that she took pride in the fact that we did this and did this often! She has bragged about every one of you to me; always proud of your accomplishments, your hard work, your kids, and your spouses. In between, she always liked to throw in a sassy story or two about her own life!! Those stories always made me laugh!! \ \ What I'll miss most of all is spending time listening to all her stories along with her hugs and kisses upon entering and leaving the house. She was sugar and spice.....the best kind of woman there is. She's going down in my book of life as one of my most favorite people.\ \ My thoughts and prayers are with all of you....

ItAaas hard to know what to say from far away, what will bring comfort to my friends, my family. Alane always made me feel welcome, appreciated and always let me know she was watching out for me. From the times of playing baseball in the empty lot next door as kids, through high school, college and beyond; Bill and Alane always offered encouragement and confidence. I have been fortunate to count Sue, Jim, Sally and Joni as my friends through the years, it is a gift to have Marsha as my sister, so please forgive our absence the next few days and realize our thoughts, prayers and best wishes our with all of you.\ \ Dan, Martina, Marcus & Julia
