Obituary of Gordon Hubert Rose
Of Flint, age 81, died Monday, June 25, 2018, at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Thursday, June 28, 2018, at Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Rev. John Montney will officiate with burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Gordon’s family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.
Gordon was born August 19, 1936, in Clio, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund and Helen (Monroe) Rose. He and Lillis were united in marriage on February 6, 1957. Gordon worked for General Motors for 33 years. In his free time, he enjoyed watching sports, NASCAR and Western movies. He was a very simple man who will be greatly missed by many.
Left to cherish his memory, three grandchildren: James and wife, Cynthia Rose, Brian and husband, Eric Rose, Brandon and wife, Gina Rose; great-grandchildren; siblings: Carol, Reah, and Michael.
Gordon was preceded in death by his wife, Lillis, son, Gorden, daughter, Loretta Rose, grandson, Bradley Rose, parents, and two brothers, Dave Rose and Edmund Lee Rose.
