Obituary of Irene Carlisle

Of Flint, age 58, died Sunday, January 17, 2010 at her home. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at the Martin Funeral Home - Vassar. Rev. Fr. John Ederer will officiate with cremation to follow. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3:00pm until 8:30pm. On Tuesday evening, family, friends, and parish will gather at the funeral home to pray the Rosary at 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial contributions to the family fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Irene was born March 4, 1951 in Saginaw, Michigan the daughter of Raymond Carlisle and Katherine (Posh) Merry. She will be missed deeply by her family. Irene leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Jeanette Stevens and special friend, Guadalupe (Wally) Garcia and Amy and husband, David Snow; son, Brian and wife, Lindsay Jackson; mother, Katherine Merry; sister, Diane Jacobs; thirteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; special friends, Arturo and Jessica from Minnesota; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Irene was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Carlisle; brother, Raymond Carlisle III; grandparents, Irene and Michael Posh and Raymond and Manny Carlisle.
