Obituary of Patricia Ann Grubaugh

Of Mt. Morris, age 77, died Monday, January 18, 2010 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday, January 22, 2010 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home on Thursday from 11:00am to 8:00pm. On Thursday evening, family, friends, and parish will gather at the funeral home to pray the Rosary at 6:00pm. Friday morning, Pat will be taken to church where she will lie in state from 10:00am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may bring non-perishable food items or personal care products to the funeral home to honor PatAaas work with St. Vincent de Paul, or monetary donation may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church.
Patricia was born June 10, 1932 in Pontiac, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Hannah (McLean) Bigler. She spent her career of 32 years with CitizenAaas Bank. Working her way from the processing department, she became and retired as the vice president of the company. She also remained active in her church, St. MaryAaas of Mt. Morris. Pat was active in the Altar Society, where she was voted Mother of the Year in 1998, the St. Rose Guild, the choir, Council of Catholic Businesswomen, and she was President of St. Vincent and de Paul. She loved flowers and gardening, arts and crafts, playing sports, her grandchildren, and racing cars at Auto City Speedway and Dixie Motor Speedway, in her younger days. She also enjoyed visiting her cottage up north where she could swim, relax and read.
Pat leaves to cherish her memory daughter Joyce and husband Frank Bartos, daughter-in-law, Mary Grubaugh; grandchildren, Frank Bartos IV, Raymond Bartos, and Patricia Gail Grubaugh; great grandchildren, Hannah Bartos and Julia Lynn Bartos; siblings Joe and wife Pat Bigler and Mary and husband Joe Gawron, nieces and nephews Keeley Sopko, Hillary and Jeremy Bennet, Tim and Gina Kelly, Cathy and Dan Kitner, Ben Bigler, and Annie Wutka. and many special brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Charles Grubaugh, and grandson Cole Andre.
