Obituary of Frederick Walter Seidling
Age 81 of Clio, died on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at home, surrounded by his family. Funeral service will be 11:00 am, Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services. Pastor Steve Hittles will officiate, with burial to follow in Crestwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm and on Thursday, from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am.
Fred was born October 6, 1932, in Fenton, Michigan, the son of Christian and Nina (Reasner) Seidling. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Fred worked at AC Spark Plug as a Pipefitter & Supervision for 36 years, retiring in 1987. He was a an active member of the Mt. Morris Community, serving on many community service projects. He was also a lifetime member of the Eagles, belonging to Eagles Aerie # 4217. He also spent his retired 20+ winters in Zephyrhills, Florida, shuffling boarding and relaxing with friends.
Left to cherish his memory are three children, Anita Seidling-Jackson and husband, Chris Jackson, Cheryl and husband, Julio Perez, caregivers and Fred and wife, Sheryl Seidling; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren with 1 due in July; sister, Donna and husband, Van Barron; mother of his children, Mavis; and several nieces and nephews.
