Memories Live Forever
Dear ones come and just go by
Never will they come again howsoever we may try
When they leave they bring so many tears
Because we had a relationship strengthened over years
They make deep impressions on the heart
In a short while they are miles apart
The distance may be due to death or anger
But everything has ended only in a whimper
For sometime we go insane
Mind is full of sorrow and pain
All this doesnt bring end of life
We have to live and constantly strive
Why had they come if they had to go
Just to impart love for a day or so
People die and reltionships end
Life is not just borrow and lend
Deep within there remains a gap
Which gradually heals in time's lap
We pick up the shedded leaves and start again
Sorrow slows and there is joy again
As there are moments to cherish both sweet and sour
Of all those happy moments and hours
For memories never break those ties
Till a person dies..

My family and I have been so blessed to have been adopted by Grandpa Bill and Grandma Irene almost 25 years ago. They say that people are put into your lives for a reason, and I truly believe that when we moved into the apartment across the way all those years ago. He will be truly be missed, and I am just regretful that he wasn't able to meet his great-granddaughter's in person, although I tried to send pictures as often as possible; and I cannot wait to pass on the life lessons that he taught me down to them. Although I am sad that he is no longer physically with us, I know he is no longer in pain and can walk around for the rest of eternity, and I am so happy for that. I know he, and Ed, are watching down from up above and I can only hope that I can make them proud. Until we meet again, we love you Grandpa Bill.
