Obituary of Rozalia Puppan

Of Brighton, age 90, died Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Angela Hospice. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am, Friday, November 15, 2013 at St. John the Evangelist in Davison. Reverend Phillip Schweda will officiate with burial to follow in Meadowview Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, November 14, 2013 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. On Thursday evening, family, friends and parishioners will gather to pray the Rosary at 4:30 pm. On Friday, Rozalia will lie in state at St. John the Evangelist from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Angela Hospice in Livonia, Michigan. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Rozalia was born November 22, 1922 in Parad, Hungary the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pal and Katalin (Toth) Stork. She and John Puppan, Sr. were united in marriage April 19, 1942. She was a member of the St. Joseph's Hungarian Club. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, knitting and crocheting, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, John, Jr., and James and wife, Eva Puppan; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, and daughter-in-law.
