Obituary of Cora L. Pratt

Age 56, formerly of Michigan and Alabama, died Tuesday, December 2, 2008 in Pensacola, Florida. She was born April 3, 1952 in Oakland County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John and Vera Wall. She was united in marriage on April 20, 1974 to Robert James Pratt, Sr., who preceded her in death July 16, 2001. She is survived by her son; Charles and wife Carmen Pratt; daughter, Sheila Clapper; grandchildren, Jeneva, Andrew, Lillian, Regina, Grace, Daisy Ann; brothers, Lawrence and wife Margaret Wall and John and wife Evelyn Wall; sisters, Arlene and husband David Williams and Eva and husband Fred Taylor. Besides her husband, Cora was preceded in death by her parents and companion, Charles Donald McLemore. Cora retired from Du-Laur products. She was a member of the Vassar Church of the Nazarene and had worked as a secretary with Lion Brothers, was a clerk at the Super 8 Motel, had worked in Home Health Care, and was a cook at the Brentwood. She loved to quilt, crochet, woodwork, paint and all kinds of crafts. She appreciated the outdoors, camping, boating, fishing and hunting. She also enjoyed cooking and canning; making everything from scratch. The Funeral Service will be held 3:00pm, Sunday, December 6, 2008 at the Martin Funeral Home - Fairgrove. Burial will be held at 1:30pm, Monday, December 7, 2008 at Brookside Cemetery in Fairgrove. Cora's family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00pm until 8:00pm and again on Sunday from 1:00pm until the time of service at 3:00pm.
