Obituary of Maria Puppan

Of Flint, age 53, died Sunday, December 21, 2008 at her home. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Saturday, December 27, 2008 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Rev. Phillip Schweda will officiate with burial to follow in Meadowview Memorial Gardens. MariaAaas family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am. Those desiring, may direct memorial contributions to the ParkinsonAaas Foundation. Maria was born July 13, 1955 in Parad-Ohuta, Hungary the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sandor and Katalin (Sidlo) Sulitka. She and John S. Puppan, Jr. were united in marriage on May 12, 1973. Maria loved to cook, especially Hungarian pastries and loved spending time with her family. Maria leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, John; children, John Puppan III and Tasha, Michael and wife Joyce Puppan and Ference Puppan; grandchildren, Cassidy Rozalia and Derrick Michael, three brothers and four sisters; sister-in-law, Eva Puppan; brother-in-law, James Puppan; two nieces, Krisztina and Katalin and her mother-in-law, Rozalia Puppan. Maria is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
