1917 - 2009
Of Vassar, died Sunday, January 4, 2009. Lloyd was born October 1, 1917 in Vassar, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney and Bertha Mae (Camp) Empey. He was a Word War II Veteran serving his country proudly in the United States Army. Lloyd worked for 28 years for A/C and retired in 1982. He was active in Vassar VFW. Left to cherish his memory is daughter Alice and her husband LeRoy Millikin and son Chris and his wife Robyn Empey; 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; his former wife Betty (Alexander) Billings; sisters Beulah Coata, Joyce Miller and Betty Lambert; brothers Ed and Robert Empey. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, his brother George and Baby James. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Friday, January 9, 2009 at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar. Pastor Bill Sanders will officiate with burial to follow in Millington Twp. Cemetery. LloydAaas family will be present to receive friends at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar on Thursday from 10am to 8pm. Those desiring, may direct memorial contributions to the Family Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
