Obituary of Leroy Albert Thomas

Of Mt. Morris, age 91, died Friday, January 23, 2009 at his residence. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:00pm until 9:00pm and again on Wednesday from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am. Those desiring, may direct memorial contributions to a charity of the donorAaas choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Leroy was born August 27, 1917 in Flint, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert and Gladys (Skeels) Thomas. He was a proud World War II U.S. Navy veteran and later retired from Buick. Leroy was a very quiet, independent and private man and absolutely loved to square dance whenever he got the chance.
Left to cherish his memory are his cousins; Iris Holloway, Barbara Brown, Fern Thomas and
Edward Thomas and good friends, Darwin and Karen Kinder.
Leroy was preceded in death by his parents.
